Compassionate Counseling for Adults in the Greater Sacramento Area | In-Person & Online Sessions Available

Customized Counseling

I’m so glad you’re here. Deciding to seek help — and finding a therapist you trust — are important first steps toward feeling better.

For over 20 years, I’ve helped people learn new skills, heal old wounds, and grow beyond beliefs and patterns that no longer serve them. I love supporting clients as they grow into happier, healthier versions of themselves. I’m committed to creating a warm, compassionate space where you can learn, heal, and grow.

I take the time to understand each client as an individual, drawing from multiple therapeutic models to create a treatment plan tailored to how you learn, what you need to heal, and your goals for growth. I believe we all have the innate capacity to heal — and the right support can make all the difference.

INDIVIDUAL THERAPY TAILORED TO HOW YOU LEARN & WHAT MATTERS MOST TO YOU

“We do not believe in ourselves until someone reveals that deep inside us something is valuable, worth listening to, worthy of our trust, sacred to our touch.” — e.e. cummings

Therapy That Works

I use warm, evidence-based approaches to make your experience in therapy as helpful and on-target as possible. I draw from many therapeutic models to customize a treatment plan that works best for you as an individual. If you'd like to learn more about the therapy models below, you can read more about my approach to therapy here.

  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT): Research-backed couple therapy to help partners build stronger relationships
  • Internal Family Systems (IFS): Compassionate and creative model for healing trauma and softening defenses
  • Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy: Heals deep attachment wounds from challenging relationships
  • Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP): Integrates psychedelic treatment with therapy to help clients get unstuck

I am an LGBT-friendly therapist and deeply value working with people of diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds. I also understand how discrimination — including homophobia, racism, and sexism — affects well-being and welcome exploring this in therapy.

ABOUT ME

I’m a licensed clinical psychologist with a master’s degree and doctorate in clinical psychology. Since 2005, I’ve provided therapy to adults, couples, and families. I am certified in Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy (EFT) and I'm a Level 2 AEDP Therapist, with a focus on Intrarelational AEDP (AEDP-IR), which combines AEDP with IFS techniques. I have completed foundational training in Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) and am in the process of certification.

I'm a member of:

My therapy office is located in Historic Folsom, and I see clients throughout the greater Sacramento area — including Roseville, El Dorado Hills, Granite Bay, Carmichael, and Gold River — as well as remotely via Zoom across California.

When I’m not working with clients, I enjoy hanging out with family and friends, hitting the trails with my dog, doing yoga, playing piano and guitar, exploring new places, and finding excuses to redecorate something.
