GETTING HELP DURING QUARANTINE
To honor the social distancing needed to mitigate the COVID-19 pandemic, I am continuing to offer therapy services via video conferencing. Numerous studies have shown “telehealth” to be equally effective as in-person therapy. I have been delighted to find, as I actually work with my clients via distance, that the studies are right — my clients and I have consistently found we’ve still been able to connect and do meaningful work via the internet. If you’re struggling with relational challenges, stress, depression, or anxiety from all the changes and losses that are happening in our world right now, please contact me at 916.276.7709
for a free phone consultation. We all have to maintain spatial distance, but that doesn’t mean we have to suffer alone.
IT’S TIME FOR A CHANGE
You’re probably here right now because something just isn’t right. You may feel overwhelmed, unhappy, frustrated, confused, or just stuck. You might not know exactly what you need, but you may suspect that it’s time for you to make some changes. Reaching out for support is the first step toward reaching your goals and feeling better.
HOW I CAN HELP
I’m a clinical psychologist and relationship expert with over 15 years of experience helping my clients heal old wounds, learn new skills, and grow into happier, healthier men and women. My passion as a therapist is helping my clients build better relationships — with their loved ones and with themselves. I strive to create a safe and caring space for each of my clients, to get to know them as individuals and to provide the warmth, respect, and guidance needed to help them break free from the old patterns that are keeping them stuck.
I really enjoy getting to work with both individuals and couples in my therapy practice. I love connecting with my clients in my one-on-one individual therapy work, and I use Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP)
— a warm, incredibly effective model of individual therapy — to help them achieve their goals for personal growth and healing. I also cherish helping couples recover from old hurts and change problematic communication patterns, and I use Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
— the most effective form of couples counseling — to get them to a better place. Some of the things I can help with are…
• Building a better, closer, more intimate relationship with your partner
• Growing self-acceptance, self-compassion, and self-esteem
• Recovering from depression or anxiety
• Learning effective stress management, communication, & assertiveness skills
• Learning how to identify and connect with your emotions
• Healing from painful or traumatic personal experiences
• Exploring who you are & what you want from life
